The BU Allegrettos are a student-run, all-gender a cappella group here at Boston University. Our performances feature alternative pop with an R&B influence while drawing upon the dynamic and creative talent of each of our members to create a unique and distinct sound. Known for being collaborative souls, Grettos love making music and friendships with other a cappella groups across the country and on campus. In 1994, the Allegrettos, originally a comedy group, set aside our cheesy jokes for fiery notes... mostly. Inspired by a love of singing with friends, the Allegrettos can now be found performing at events on and off-campus, competitions, and charities all year round (we even sang for President Obama at the White House in 2016!) We also recently competed in the 2019 and 2023 International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA's). If there is one thing that the Allegrettos love more than each other, it's recording our music. In the 2021 academic year, we recorded our third studio album, "7 Wadsworth'' and have released a couple of singles since (check us out on all streaming platforms!), and are planning on releasing a new EP later this school year. Our new direction includes intricate arrangements, a wide array of genres, and a whole lot of energy!​
